ഭിന്നശേഷിക്കാർ, മുതിർന്ന പൗരന്മാർ, നിരാലംബരായവർ, മുൻ കുറ്റവാളികൾ, ട്രാൻസ്‌ജെൻഡർ വ്യക്തികൾ തുടങ്ങിയ ലക്ഷ്യവിഭാഗങ്ങൾക്ക് വകുപ്പ് ആവശ്യമായ പിന്തുണയും സേവനങ്ങളും നൽകുന്നു.
കാലക്രമേണ, സമൂഹത്തിലെ ദുർബല വിഭാഗങ്ങളുടെ ഉന്നമനത്തിനും ക്ഷേമത്തിനുമായി ഡിപ്പാർട്ട്മെന്റ് ഓഫ് സീനിയർ സിറ്റിസൺസ് അതിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ വിപുലീകരിക്കുകയും വിവിധ പുതിയ സേവനങ്ങളും സൗകര്യങ്ങളും ഏർപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ്.
